In both cases the grid is virgin when I start.

As I mentioned, I was new to the fact that the column position is a different thng than the position in the collection. My second try specifically addressed that with lnKounter. Even so, both approaches work with the "other" table just fine. That's the part I don't get at all!

After awhile you, me, or someone else will hit on the answer. Thanks for brainstorming!
