I having a problem getting Outlook 98 to talk to Exchange server, it just sits there with the hourglass.
I'm running Win2K and Outlook 98. It was working last week. I had to reinstall Win2K and after installing Outlook and I've been unable to get it to work.
We've got Outlook on 20 other machines working fine (so I know it's not Exchange causing the problem). I can log into different machine and get Outlook to connect to my mailbox fine.
On the problem machine, everything else is working fine. I can access the server and routers. I can ping the server IP as well as it's name.
It's using DHCP, which is working fine as well. I've tried specifying a fixed IP, reinstalling TCP/IP, reinstalling Outlook, removing all references to the machine in the server (from DHCP, Server manager, and WINS), I've tried changing the computers name. Nothing seems to work.
I also just noticed this morning that I'm getting some errors in the event log. They have to do with RAS.
Event ID: 20070.
"Point to Point Protocol engine was unable to load the C:\WINNT\System32\rastls.dll module. The specified module could not be found."
I checked and the rastls.dll exists in the system32 folder.
Any Ideas?
