I have a combo box (originally created with the builder) that has its RowSource (hierarchy.dbf) that has an ever changing record count. The record count is from 1 to 7 records.

When the form is activated, it correctly gathers and displays the records from hierarchy.dbf. However, if the form embraces a new record (agents.dbf - ControlSource for combo box is agents.whosebusaddr) and the hierarchy.dbf has fewer records, the form fails displaying the following message:

Error #5 - Record is out of range.

Since it is critical that the combo box accept the new record count, do I need to load the hierarchy.dbf records as the RowSource text and use RowSourceType of 1 - Value rather then RowSourceType of 2 - Alias as I currently have in the properties?

Since this system is used all day by one department in our company, performace time does matter.

Any suggestions would be helpful.
