I never really enjoyed watching golf on TV before he came along. Now I find myself watching to see what he's going to do next. That's star power or whatever else you want to call it and my thinking is that this can only be good for the game of golf. Just like Lance Armstrong in the Tour de France.. Awesome, to say the least.

Don't misunderstand me. I am a very competitive person. My wife refuses to even play "Monopoly" with me. She says I cheat (I don't).< g > I can, however, empathize with the girls in the story. While I never been in that kind of situation, my best friend from high school and I competed all the time. In fact, one time when we were going head-to-head a good part of the school came out just to watch. To this day, regardless of what it is, we go at each other very hard. More often than not, it's pool but that's another story.
