Your post is a few days old. If you have not resolved the problem yet, here may be something to check; do you have a DSN configured on the server with the same name as the one on the remote work station? I am assuming that SQL resides on the server. Even though SQL resides on the server the programs still needs to communicate with SQL in the same way the workstation does.
