>This makes sense. A copy from a network drive actually moves the data from the source drive to memory on your local PC, and then from your local PC's memory to the target. The network is being visited twice. If you're using a network that's slow relative to the speed of your local hard drive, the whole thing makes sense, and short of a faster LAN, there isn't much that can be done.

I will try the NCOPY command that was suggested in a few tests and see if that will make a difference. As for a faster Network (always, always), I will put an order in to the Network folks for a half-a-pound of lightening and see what the charge will be. :)
