I have created a vertical application that is used by many offices in the field, many of which DON'T have Office97.

On one of the screens I am generating a graph using MSGRAPH 8 and APPEND GENERAL etc. syntax.

However, the machines which don't have Office97 get an error message "Invalid Class String", although I have included the MSGRAPH package in the distribution set.

I understand that MSGRAPH8 apparently has some nasty limitations, but I thought I should be able to at least programmatically create graphs with it, right?

Do I need to use different syntax, I read something mentioning UPDATEGRPH but can't find any detail on how to do it.

What is the best solution to get these graphs working in the field?
