Bret, I think that Robert Mcdonald and Ed Rauh are pointing in the right direction. Our Novell network was full of cascading hubs and had a number of NICs in the server. The performance was not great. We have since gone to one NIC in the server and a short cascade of good switches. Network throughput has increased and the server load has decreased.
