I was reading Jenny Brown's articles in the June & July 2000 issues of FoxPro Advisor titled 'Build Dynamic Grid Rows'. I thought I could make a generic version and while I was at it customize an Ingrid component to work with it. All worked ok untill the KeySeek method does a seek operation and then the focus seems to be lost from the Ingrid component and I have to select the field again to be able to enter the next letter in the search string.

By putting in some judicious RETURNs I was able to pin point the problem to the SEEK command but don't know why it is behaving like this.

The way I have set this up is I am using a container with the Ingrid text box in it displaying a Last_First field. I am able to enter one character and it seeks to that and displays at the top of the grid but the next keypress does nothing untill I first select the field again.

Does anyone have any ideas
