>If I issue the command BROWSE and no table is selected, The open table Dialog appears. Good idea, but I am running Westwind Web Connection and when( and if) This happens, It will bring down the whole server(Blocks requests). How do I incorporate this into my error routine ?

Unfortunately, there is no way to suppress this. This is a huge gripe of mine as well- referencing a table that is not open should generate an error, not give a stupid open dialog.

The "workarounds" suggested here are unrealistic: you get the error dialog by referencing a table in an SQL select as well. If, by some unfrotunate chain of events, your out-of--proc server (or wc app) will hang with an "untrappable" error.
