>How would I provide a customer of my applications with Crystal Reports that already knows that links between the various tables of the database? ie, Crystal would automatically link 2 tables as Visual FoxPro would from the database in use.

Try looking at the data dictionary part of Crystal. As I recall, you can set up multiple tables in one view of it, as well as add common functions. You can really make it user friendly.
