I ABSOLUTELY AGREE!!!!!! As an independent, it's expensive enough to attend these conferences when you consider the entry fee, the airfare to get there, the lost income for the week I'm gone and the ..little.. bar tab that accumulates. But then factor in a hotel room at $160 bucks a night ... OUCH!

Can we start a petition and submit it to the right people before final plans are made for 2001?
