At the 1993 DevCon in Orlando the late Tom Rettig knew someone who worked at NASA. As a result we were able to get to a location quite close. It was on the top of some levee berms. The only excitement that day, as the launch was scrubbed, was the alligator. <g>

Her father worked at NASA and she explained that the employees get a couple tickets if they want them. Of course she wasn't going so she didn't get any. I offered $100 bucks for her to call up Dad, but it was to close to the launch. :(
