I did more debugging and it seems that code is not the problem at all! The problem seems to be all in the Wang Image Edit Control, used from a file called "IMGEDIT.OCX"

When I delete this control off of my form, everything worked fine and no errors occured. To make sure this was the problem, I dropped another Wang ImgEdit control on my form, compiled the app and tested. The Illegal operation occured again, as expected!

The main reason I used the ImgEdit control was to display PCX files, as the standard picture box would not display PCX files. Since the ImgEdit Control is a problem for some reason, would you know of another control I could use to display PCX files?
