To config ODBC, how to configure to logon a remote server? Where to place the web server address?

If in test period, i don't have any web-based SQL server, where can i share/find one? or can i configure my home PC as a SQL server to accept modem-to-modem connect? or how to set up my home PC to accept the internet "calls"?
