Mine, too - three daughters :)

Ok, I give up. The Serbian word is "vredan", also meaning "worthy"
(which has value - and, to Volodya - this is not "vredniy", in Russian
it means "poisonous"). I expected English language would have a simple
old word, not a latinism or a compound word. The reasons I can only
guess - is it that we are basically lazy and must have a special word to
denote the opposite, or the English speaking part of the world never
needed the word for a nonexistent notion, but had to wait for Latin or
make workarounds?
This goes for the other question of "what do we do in front of these
screens all day". We think, and we get ideas. You see the results, and
what I come to think of :)
