cost of living is low. plua florida has no state income tax. housing is affordable. IT salaries stink. everyone takes a paycut to move to florida. within florida jacksonville and tampa probably have the best IT jobs. the only way to make good $$ in orlando is to be a contractor and travel, but then you are no longer in orlando.
