I wanted to keep the VFP .EXE COM servers pooled and ready-to-run from RAM. If I didn't use FoxISAPI, then wouldn't the .EXE get loaded at the beginning of the .asp page and unloaded after page exit? And even then, how do I get a
n-row array from VFP into an array in VBScript?
>Steve, you still haven't explained why you think you need FoxISAPI at all. ASP can call your VFP COM server directly, without going through FoxISAPI (in fact, I don't know how you would do it through FoxISAPI). FoxISAPI only manages the connection between IIS and a VFP COM server- but with ASP, you already have this.
>>Rick, I was doing some more digging here on the UT and found a message from a guy who was/is thinking the same as me. What I would like to do is use ASP/VBScript for all page display (and sessions/cookies/etc), and VFP only for data manipulation & business rules. Going through your FoxISAPI document and your book, it looks like I must use my VFP .EXEs to pass HTTP-encoded HTML thru FoxISAPI to the browser,
