.........So the answer I guess is that when using the set-up wizard, you have to manually select the win/system directory for OCX files. I wonder why, if these files are supposed to be installed in win/system - the wizard doesn't set this as the default directory for OCX files.

Of hand and WAG would be that there are some ocx files that can be put places other than win system. And the wizard may have been programmed with the notion that some folks may change the default win directory. Just a couple of wags.
