That sort of makes sense - a 1 byte field, with a byte to carry the DELETED() flag, would max out at 1 GB - (size of table header) records, given the 2GB file size limitation. I believe that VFP can work with a table with more records through ODBC, where the physycal table size isn't an issue.
>As for the file size limtiation, you never know. Lotus had a similar limit in their Notes "database" prior to version 4. They totally redesigned the structure because there was such an overwhelming need/demand. As we get further and further away from supporting old legacy systems, the migration might seem natural.
