Have you followed the links to the developmentor mailing list archive site, where this message actually originated? Very indepth details there from several MS'ers about .NET guts. It's mostly over my head at a C++ level of discussion, but I figure a few minutes per day of reading this stuff, and some of it will begin to sink in. :-)
