What is involved with rewriting to use views?

Since I received your email I have set VFP up to use a remote view with SQL Server. It looks like you could move the local tables to SQL Server, create remote views with the same names as the local tables, then open the views instead of the local tables. Then leave the code unchanged. (We do all our USE commands in a set of functions that are part of the framework we use).

It does seem that remote views behave slightly different from local tables so I could see very subtle bugs creep in. Has anyone done this?
