>>>I am writing a program that using some preprinted Gov. forms. When the user clicks OK TO PRINT, a govt. form prints out with the data supplied by the user on it. I am not sure how to get started with this. I guess the FRM file is loaded first, then the data is placed in their positions... Can someone help me get started? thanks

>>when we work w/ 'preprinted' gov't forms, we use hp laser codes to print the forms ourselves. while doing that, we place each piece of data in the appropriate place on the form. enough help?

frm as in vfp form or frm as in "hey, it's a government form, so use an frm extension"? if the second, print a few and then run the printed forms back through to fill in the data from either a vfp report or (more likely) the ??? print commands. our code is copyrighted and (currently) not for sale.
