>Interested in buying a product to help with corruption problems in my VFP 6.0 networked application. I am the programmer and the support person. Just last week I spent about 8 hours on memo corruption problems "Invalid or Missing Memo" shown during a PACK command. I have gotten many other different kinds of corruption problems and would like a tool that I could use within the app to automatically detect and hopefully fix problems. And if it can not be automated, a tool that would help me fix problems.

PACK is one of the more dangerous VFP commands; I like what SDT does to replace the native PACK with a process that copies off the undeleted records to a fresh file, rebuilds the indexes and then replaces the original file with the fresh copy; the risk of damage from power failures and system lockups is greatly reduced. It has limited memo repair capabilities in its REPAIR method as well.
There's a big difference between SDT and utilities like FoxFix; SDT is used before you have a problem, in an attempt to minimize/reduce the occurance of problems later and enhance the native DBC capabilities; other products get used only after found a problem.
>It seems that FoxFix and Stonefield are the two most popular tools. Anyone know the differences between them? I am not interested, i think, in the data dictionary aspect of Stonefield, just the data recovery and repair.
