We are having problems with the version 2.5 installation of the MS ODBC Drivers [MDAC_TYP.EXE]. The install is leaving the following in the Win9x registry --

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run]
"mdac_runonce"="C:\\WINDOWS\\SYSTEM\\runonce.exe"

It is a minor problem but it is driving us crazy with user calss because it removes their wallpaper from the desktop. It display initially until the RUNONCE is executed.

While the fix is simple [delete the value from the registry], going around to do this is a PITA.

The restart after the install usually hangs as well and causes us to abnormally shutdown/restart the PCs.

Now the question -- any one else see this entry in your registry?
