Thanks for your input - I've copied the new code to a text file for later perusal.

However, now I'm really confused. My previous code to Tamar [ with .close{olSave) ] worked fine and saved each task added to Outlook with no problems.

Also, Microsoft's own examples [ such as Knowledge Base article Q162371 - Using Automation to Add a Task/Reminder to MS Outlook, which uses MS Access ] do not use the Namespace and default MAPI folders.

MSFT only seen to use these when retrieving data from Outlook.

Obviously, my concern is that I write something which works in one version of Outlook, but not in other versions.
