Hi,

For last couple years I have had ISDN. I have a small little network in my office. I have always been able to dial-up on my ISDN and log on to remote NT servers/domains by just mapping a drive in Explorer. I use the lmhosts file to help facilitate that. I can log onto SQL server remotely this way too. I've done these things hundreds of times on many different servers out in netland.

The other day I get cable modem - all is well, fast, and happy - EXCEPT - I can no longer map those drives - get a "computer or sharename" not found when I try. Interestingly - if I dial in ISDN (still have that too) everything works fine as before.

So - question - how do I get this to work with just my cable modem connection? How does my computer "know" or determine which connection (cable modem or ISDN) it uses for this or other internet operations?

Thanks!
