Lo Bernard

Check this out http://www.hallogram.com/commtool/

I think you can get a discount if you buy it through UT or something.

You should also do a web search on Kermit
This is a really easy data transfer protocol that you can shell out to from Fox.

I think there is even a Kermit class I saw around somewhere, but if you want it real easy then I suggest you just use the command line version.

Good Luck

>>>Hi all
>>>
>>>Currently we need to have data transferred from 1 site to another and vice versa. This is done by modem using pcAnywhere9.
>>>
>>>But we have problems with this as pcAnywhere uses a DOS engine and we have no way of knowing whether the data was actually transferred and have not much control of the process.
>>>
>>>What we need is some way of transferring files using the modems, but NOT by the Internet as many do not as yet have an internet connection.
>>>
>>>Is there some product out there that we can use or do any of you have ideas to throw my way, I wil be eternally grateful as this pcAnywhere is frustrating.
>>>
>>>They expect you to run batch files. Another thing is that we have to keep looking for the presence of a file and assume that the transfer went ok.
>>>
>>>Thanks in advance

>>>Remember please NOT Internet Transfers! Just modem to modem.
>>
>>Have you thought of using RAS, VPN? These come with the OS's, and allow you to map a drive - then it is just a matter of verifying the file exists on the target machine.
