Thanks for the excellent advice. My delima is that when you are not in insert mode and you type a new entry the old text simply moves off to the right and this, to me anyway, would seem to be a source of confusion. Besides that... I think it looks tacky....

I will give the selectonentry a try and see if it is the solution to the problem. Thanks again.
