If the app is on a network server (I do the same thing with an app here), then my understanding is that the VFP runtime _must_ be installed on each client machine that will be running that app. The easiest way to do this is to create, using the install wizard, an "empty" install... one that will result in_no_ app being installed on the client PC's, but will still install/register the runtime DLL's. Then you can fire up the app (any app) from its network drive at will. The obvious advantage is that one app serves all users, and you don't have to worry about distributing/reinstalling updated versions of the app itself.

I have not had success trying to copy the runtime DLL's (without a true install) onto an NT system, but it does seem to work in Win95/98, as I recall.

I think that all ActiveX controls used by your app must also be installed on the client machines.
