Hi,
I deal with importing data (mostly text files) once every two months into DBF's from different sources. Each time it seems that the most of time spent on the project is using a hit or miss way of determining the size of each field in the dbf to match the length of the field in the import file.
It would be nice if I had a visual way of creating the import table. Something like a grid with a sliding header that increased the size of the field as it increased the width of the column. Of course as I increase the size of the grid column it changed the widths of the other columns.
First, is there something out there that already does this. I don't want to re-invent the wheel.
Second what would be the best way to attack this project.
TIA
John
