Hi,

I posted this a few months ago - but never got an explanantion or easy work-around. The problem is that several of my vcx files (seems to be limited to visual classes) are retaining NON DELETED, inert (for lack of a better term) copies of objects and bloating my vcx files. This is NOT A PACKING issue - I pack the vcx's regularly.

The only way I've found around this is to move the classes to a new vcx. Sometimes doing this will reduce the file by hundreds of records. So - Is this a known phenomena? I had only one person respond that they too had seen this.

For a test - pick out some of you larger most heavily edited visual class libraries (with form classes if possible), pack it and count rows. Then move all the classes to a new library with 'add class' or through PM and see if the total row-count goes down.

TIA,
Ken B. Matson
