Which version of Visual FoxPro are you using? If you are using version 5 up, bad news. DAO does not support it. You'll have to make use of ADO. It would be best you use ADO instead of DAO since ADO is where everything is headed. DAO was not updated to handle more than version 3. I too am a Visual FoxPro/Basic programmer. And I have been studying the limitations of these two and how they can work together. ADO was the best solution I got.
