the table name is standard
the first form i use is named "item_srch.scx" here you will see the label control "enter part number" and the text control (txtinput) here i just type for example 06 then i press the buttom "apex#" to find the value. so what i am doing here is looking for all partnumber starting with 06 so for hence when the partnumber is found there is probably more than one record starting with 06 so i am loading from the click event a form named mgri in order to display only the record or records starting with 06, in this case. so you could see the only thing i have in this form is the grid container and a buttom to exit to return to the previous form(item_srch) in case i want to looking for another partnumber. i just want to display the found records that match the criteria in the second form that contains the grid but only those, this table is not a big table and the reason i want to use the grid is because later i will use the same approach for other things but then i would like to see how can i add to the grid others buttoms to display, list under a field or fields and so on this is why i want you to help me.
if i did not explain myself clear please ask me your help is very important also i have this other question how you pass parameters from one form to another in case you need to run a second form based on values from the previuos form if any example please submit them
