Hey all,

What I want to do is really simple, but it doesn't seem possible...

What I want to do is this:

- save a file as a BMP from the Clipboard (user will have pressed Print Scrn at a point of their choosing.)
- convert that BMP file to a JPG (I have an FLL to do this).
- store reference to that JPG in my database and use image control to display the picture when necessary (easy to do once I have the file)

So, it is very straightforward except for the first step. Right now I am using an OLE Bound control and pasting the picture in, but saving pictures as BMPs in a General field has made my FPT file over 300 MBs in just a few months (and it isn't FPT-bloat...the file is genuinely that large). This is not acceptable.

So, I just want to capture screenshots (from the clipboard) in a compact fashion (JPG?) and save them as files so I can later display them. Any ideas?

Thanks,
Joe Kaufman
