This behaviour is by design. When you start it as stand alone application, it creates a command window, which indeed is closable, but can be recalled with Ctrl+F2 (just like the real command window).

But, of course you're free to change the code to fit your needs.

The font of the real VFP command window can be adjusted. This one has Courier 9 as font, which to my knowledge is default font in VFP.
