I don't know for sure for CR 8.0 but in older versions it is impossible to change the orientation at runtime with the ActiveX control.

Basicly you've got two other options
1. Set the printer info at designtime. That will be a problem when you don't know the printer where it is going to run on.
2. Instead of using the ActiveX control, use one of the automation servers: the RDC or CRPE automation server.
