The Modal form is called from another form. It has 2 radio buttons, a 2 button group, a close button and a combobox. the combobox selects an excel file. If the excel file is not the correct format, control is returned to the form. If I don't select the combobox and click the close button the form closes. If I select the combobox the form just sits there whwen I click the close button. Even the local varibles created in the destroy event will not release (I put in a for/endfor routine to close all the objects before doing thisform.release as a test ). the event log looks like the form should be closed.

Any ideas would be appreciated
