Nope. At the time I was in high school in Chicago, that's why I knew about it. The reason I knew about changing the name is a story in itself. I was in an Uno's pizzeria (Uno's is a terrific pizza place in Chicago and now has a chain across the country) in Lake Mary, FL and ran into a waitress there who went to Pekin High School. She told me that the reason that the nickname got changed had to do with a delegation visiting there from China. Can you say, "Whoops"?:-)
