The problem is so very weird. When I create a cursor and fill it with data in a program, and run the SELECT statement against it, everything comes out right. When I run against the tables, it sorts wrong.

It's only an internal worksheet-type report, so I've given up on it for now to do other things.

I would have to send (a stripped-down version of) the tables themselves for you to see the problem. Also, I've had the same problem on several different copies of the data, both at office and home, under FPW and VFP.
