Nothing to do with vfp but I'm sure one or more of you can tell me what I need to know a damn sight quicker than any other source...

I need to install NT4 server on my machine. I've installed a UDMA 66 30 Gb hard drive. 20Gb is a FAT32 partition I'm using as extra storage with my Win98 system which also uses two other drives.

I learned the hard way that the only way you can set up a Win98 system on a UDMA66 drive is to perform the setup in UDMA33 mode and then transfer the drive to its UDMA66 controller.

Will I need to do the same for NT4?

If so, then the easiest way would be to make the target drive temporarily the master C drive, disable the others, install the system and then move the drives back to their original positions.

If I do that, a) how will I get the dual boot option I'll need to select between 98 and NT?

and will the NT system still function if its host drive is no longer the master?

All contributions gratefully received as usual!

Thanks

Harry
