As I recall from the VFP developers guide, you need to build an object that has the checkbox in a container, center it in there and then use this new control in the appropiate column. To me an obvious oversight of the VFP development team (how often wouldn't you want the checkbox in the columds center) and in my humble opinion a needless pain in the ass for developers. Maybe VFP7
