Unfortunately, it probably won't work because ActiveRow returns 0 when the grid doesn't have focus...
You can create a cursor with a ORDER clause or use an extra field N(1, 0) whose values alternate between 0 and 1. I use that technique for lookup tables that are mopre or less static. I actually use a third color for the 'new' values. The users like it better than I do (I think it looks too much like a Xmas tree).
