>In VFP6 you can use TYPE XL8 to import from Excel 97 files. To import into VFP5 you will have to tell Excel 97 to save the spreadsheet files in Excel version 5.0 format. Of course, you can save the 5.0 copy under a different name so as not to lose the original.
