>>>Some place that serves real pizza. PizzaSlut and DomainBlows do not qualify as pizza by any stretch of the imagination.

>>>I had a white pie with fresh tomato, basil and garlic from Modern (one of the three or four world-class pizza houses in New Haven) last week...good pizza is one of life's necessities!
>>
>>I agree completely with you about pizza being a necessity. We also have some really nice places in here. If you ever come to Montreal one of the best pizza places is "La Sorosa" in old Montreal.

>New Haven has 4 or 5 world-class pizza houses; Sally's, Pepe's, Modern, Palm Beach and Frank Pepe's are my current ranking for red pies, and Modern, Sally's, Frank Pepe's, Palm Beach and Pepe's for white pies. If you're into calzone, Sally's - there is no close second.
Keeping on topic< g >...the Orlando area does have places where you can get some decent pizza, Uno's. The original Uno's is on the near north side of Chicago, and several years ago, they opened up restaurants in several other major cities. The pizza is (being kind) close to being as good as what you'd get at the original. Let's just say that it's better than the franchise places mentioned earlier. The ambience of the restaurants is nowhere close to the original, which I always said that they were trying to emulate the "black hole of Calcutta".
