>Thanks for the reply. I have one small problem. I haven't really used anything but the default classes. I launch the Class Browser and select Grid from the drop-down, but I don't get a display of properties and/or methods. I assume when I get to the correct location that the grid currently on my form will inherit this new method ? I must be looking in the wrong place ?

Bruce, go into the Tools/Options/Controls Dialog, and add the class library containing "your" grid class to the list of class libraries. Save this setrting. When you open a form for editing, the Form Controls toolbar appears. There's an icon that looks like a set of books. Click on that, and it'll list a set of sources of controls you can add, one of which will be your class library. select your class library - the icons on the toolbar now correspond to the classes in you classlib, and and you pick a control from there and drop it right on your form; the control it drops will be based on "yor" class rahter than just the base class, with any enhancements you've made ready and waiting for you.
