I am sure this discussion has gone around before so please be patient. I am almost finished with my first major VFP project, but I just discovered that I am leaving many datasessions open, some of them containing tables, some not. These are tables that get opened incidently - SQL selects, view etc - as I was very careful to manage those that I expressedly opened. I think I know how to close the incidental tables but how do I close the datasessions? How do I find out what datasessions are out there orphaned? Any help greatly appreciated. I am not using a framework.

By the way, isn't it kind of strange that a screen with a private datasession does not automatically close out its datasession when it is destroyed? I understand that technically the screen belongs to the datasession and not the other way around, but it seems the developers could have handled this better.
A problem is a problem only as long as it has a possible solution. Lacking that, it becomes a FACT!
