Dear Charles, if you are using windows 98 you can do this by entering the properties of your directory and there you should see listed the sharing property. Click on the "sharing" and there you will see the properties of your folder and at the bottom you will see something with passwords. Enter a password there and be sure though that you select what kind of access will the user have. You will see it in the window there. Then give the password to the people that you want to access your folder. Thats it. I hope i have answered your question.
