This is more of an FYI message than a question.

I had recently installed Win2000 on my production notebook (Gateway Solo 9300). Everything seemed to work well, except for some strange video problems. I noticed that several shape objects (3D Boxes)would only display one or 2 sides of the box, and not the same sides consistantly. It was as a portion of the shape was being overlayed by another object.

After blowing up the system several times installing bad video drivers, I found that if I stayed with the one installed from the Win2000 CD and changed the default number of screen colors from [Hi Color 16-Bit] to [True Color 24-Bit], everything displays correctly.

Hope this helps someone else.
