That looks pretty ordinary, all right, it's having trouble with a basic function. A couple ideas: Have you tried a very simple, tiny app with the setup process, deleting the old Distrib, etc.? Do you have anything a little unusual in your app/setup? Have you tried a setup build on another machine? What version vfp/SP is this? Have you tried a complete reinstall? (now we're getting desperate at this point).

I see this error has been posted several times in the past year with no replies, not the greatest news, but there may be a commonality. Also, maybe look at a few KB bug docs like Q235262 to see if it could be related, even though that exact # is not listed.
